but a working French village.

The nearest one is only a ten minute drive, via a picturesque route

literature & movies:

the famous scenic Aveyron Gorge.

There is a colourful
market in nearly every town or
large village on different days of the week, so plenty of
opportunity to try the really tasty local fresh produce.
(look for local produce as "produits du pays")

Throughout the summer the villages have their fêtes.
